You know I am beginning to have a real mission in Yelp. (Not in life though). My mission is to make my reviews based on real restaurant factors; all of the factors that a restaurant should be judged on. I see more and more yelpers using points that disgust me. Or they flat out lack the proper common knowledge to yelp certain restaurants. Let us use Red Lobster Federal Way for example. Are you familiar with Red Lobster? Did you know it is a chain restaurant? Did you know it is not a local Northwest seafood restaurant? My god, you should not go into Red Lobster with such high expectations. For those who go to Red Lobster expecting the world in a hand basket, I have news for you. They do not serve the world in a hand basket. But here at Red Lobster Federal Way, they have something close. But it is not called the world in a hand basket. They are called Cheddar Bay Biscuits in a hand basket. And they mean the world to me. If you simply overlooked these biscuits and focused on the "real food" that's fine. But I am here to make them count. This is one for the biscuits.

Came in for the Lobster Fest, we had a coupon printed online for $10 off two Lobster Fest dinners, loved it! We went Sunday afternoon around 5p, so it was very busy--but our wait was only 20-25minutes, & we even got sat early. Great waiting area, & the restaurant itself was very clean. Our server was still a little new, but Nick handled everything great! Even with his manager one step away, he handled his orders, trays & bills like a boss! The food was EXCELLENT! Biscuits were fresh, salads crisp & our food piping hot. One of my shells cracked & shattered in my Harbor Bake, but I just forked it out & made sure no other pieces were around to bust my tooth on. Not a big deal, what did I expect, Nick to do it for me?! I'm a big girl! We ordered two alcoholic drinks & they were made strong & to perfection. The atmosphere was nice, we sat at a little 2 top table, & it was intimate enough to have a great conversation with my girlfriend, but still close to other diners so I could check out their dinners as well! Skipped dessert, we were stuffed & portions are huge! Our bill (2 alcoholic drinks, 2 salads, 2 lobster fest dishes) came to about $74, plus -$10, so about $63 for 2 to go out & eat--not bad. The parking lot is a little small, so prepare to park in the mall or camp out for a spot if you're going during prime time. A foot above the rest of the retail Red Lobster chains!

Okay, where to start... This place used to be good 15 years ago, but it is not even worth the 10 minutes it takes to drive here! The food (all frozen, never fresh) was bland and not good, drinks seemed watered down, even the biscuits tasted weird and were overcooked. Service was not good either. Don't waste your time people when there are multiple better options around, McGrath's, Tokyo Steakhouse, hell even Ivar's has better and fresher food! I have made my last trip to a Red Lobster, if I feel the need to spend money with this company I will go to Bahama Breeze in Southcenter!

You would not find ME back here in this Red Lobster. I understand it is a chain restaurant, but, if you are going to more or less specialize in seafood, then do it right dammit. I wouldn't say that their Chedder Bay Biscuits are all that to die for. The biscuits we got at our table were soft, sure, but plain. I would have gotten much better biscuits from Churchs Chicken up the street. Don't throw some 3 year old dried parsley and cheeto dust in your biscuit dough and try to call it a cheddar biscuit. No, flavorless. The "seafood alfredo..." You know, if the sauce didn't taste like hot milk with a hint of garlic, then it might have actually been good. Why should I pay for that plate, when I can get the same alfredo sauce off the shelf from Ragu? Give me a break. Sad to see fried brocolli on the menu as well. The red peppers did not help it whatsoever, but why fry brocolli? I mean, whats the point? I won't say I'm impressed, I would not go back. Ever. I can't say I remember much about our server.

I'm currently very displease with red lobster and I am going to explain why. Went there last night with a friend and the parking lot was full but it really wasn't that busy inside. We were seated right away and our waitress came and da da da. Her name is Andrea and after we order. She just disappeared. I mean our appetizer came and the soup and salad but then she disappear for like 20minutes. We were just sitting there looking at our empty appetizer plates. Finally our main meal came and she was just gone for the entire meal. If any place I go to, just ignore me and don't come and ask me how my food was, chain restaurant or not, I'm going to minus 2 stars. I believe customer satisfaction is key to running a successful restaurant. But to make matter worse, the first thing that came out of her mouth after 30+ mins was "can I pack that up for you?". It wouldn't be that bad if I wasn't still eating. I don't understand how you can think that I need me food to be packed up if I'm still eating. She took my friends plates and walk away. Next thing I know is the check on the table. Are you not going to ask us if we want desserts? I mean wth??? We were planning to get desserts too. But since you want us out of your hair, fine we will go. But that's not even the worst of it, the worst was when we woke up this morning and check the transactions. They charged us $90 instead of $74.80!!!!! We gave her the tips in cash and how in the world do you think you deserve 16bucks in tips??? In addition to the cash, she basically gave herself a $25 tips. Dude thats another meal. And the main thing is, that is way too unethical and illegal. You do not do that. There are so many cuss words I would like to use right now, but for the sanity of my dear fellow yelper's eyes, I will keep them in my head. So frustrated & angry right now. Just because We look young, doesn't mean you can just ignore us like that. You gotta give customer service to everyone, young or old, rich or poor, we are all CUSTOMERS. But on a brighter note, the food was DElicious!!!!

I've gone to this Red Lobster the past 5 years and Colten Olsen (current employee) has been the best server I've ever had, by far! If you have the luxury of asking for a specific server, ask for Colten. His friendly manner, professionalism, and care for customers are second to none. We double tip him for the amazing service. Keep it up!! 100/10 Colten Olsen (server) 10/10 overall service 8/10 Cody Olson (server) 8/10 food 8/10 atmosphere 8/10 cleanliness

Enjoyed the lunch! The service was good, very friendly and food came out quick! Everything was cooked to my liking. Mojito wasn't to good, but it didn't expect it to be. I would come back again!

The food is pretty good and prices are fair. I go there almost every week, and usually I order snow crab legs with extra 1/2 pound that comes with salad (I like Garden salad) and it all also served with your choice of rice, mashed potatoes, fries and more for $24.99. It's good enough even for two people. Another menu I would recommend is lunch special: two sticks of grilled shrimps for 7.99 that also comes with same choice as previous menu. The main reason I decided to leave this review is because I wanted to thank Antony C. He is the best waiter there.

You are greeted by an aquarium housing lobsters during the last moments of their life. The hosts are trained and friendly. It looks as though your experience might be halfway decent, until you are seated in a rustic room setting with wooden planks on the walls, lights from some old gymnasium and slimy salt and pepper shakers to top off your first impression. Yum...The waitress will be more than happy to not fill up your water on time, in-fact, once you are seated you most likely won't see someone for another 10 minutes. We ordered clam chowder and were completely disappointed with a bowl of warm flavorless milk, once it arrived. Thank goodness for the little bit of dried parsley on top. It really was a life-saver and livened things up. Dinner arrived and the food was comparable to a frozen dinner. The shrimp were the best part, cooked well, but I still can't possibly imagine why in the heck they are slathered in packaged sauces that taste horrible and livened up with over processed boxed rice with color enhanced broccoli. BLah! I ordered dessert, key lime pie. I wanted to know if there was anything that was going to be edible... It showed up lopsided with whipped cream that fell off to the side and a lime (that clearly was not from the Florida keys) for decoration. I have to say, the taste and texture of it made up for all the other junk earlier. I will never go back to Red Lobster, but if I am ever forced to I will eat dinner somewhere else first and just order the key lime pie.

I don't think I'm a fan of Red Lobster. Though they do have some high highs, they've got some pretty low lows. Highs: - Great service! I got more than I expected from our waiter, who thoroughly explained the special menu and came back to check on us frequently for water refills, etc. -Cheddar biscuits: uhh...what is there to explain? There's CHEESE and BISCUITS. -Cocktails: Usually pretty satisfying Lows: - The Endless Shrimp deal: It sounds great, but the shrimp is mediocre. A lot of my shrimp had a rubbery texture AND many of the options come out in a plate full of melted butter. Umm...anyone heard of moderation?? I like butter too, but man...I felt my arteries clogging! - Front of house: completely disorganized, though our waiter made up for it. -Oh, did I mention I found a hair in my shrimp alfredo?? :-/ Though I love those cheddar biscuits, it's not worth it to come here for dinner. I'll just go across the street to McGrath's. But thanks.

The food isn't that terrible, I've had much better seafood in my life so it is what it is. The portions are huge and while it seems like more bang for your buck, I can't eat that much and I don't like taking seafood home. The cheddar biscuits are ok, I was never a fan but they always come out warm and fluffy. This past time I went however, I was completely disgusted with the condition of the table and their lack of cleaning. We were seating and I noticed a bunch of hard sticky stuff all over the table, you could actually scrape it off with your finger :( When we called the waiter over to say our table was gross, he brought back a "wet" towel and ran it over a few times...needless to say that didn't help. The table was sticky with old food on it, you need a disinfectant, not a barely wet towel...The server was a kind kid and helpful but after the failure at cleaning the table my appetite was gone.

We got in pretty late, just before closing. We were promptly seated, very friendly knowledgeable staff. Even though food and service were still going once the front doors closed, I guess it's a state law that alcohol cannot be served after closing time so the manager came by and basically asked my boyfriend to slam his frozen blended drink haha BRAIN FREEZE! We weren't super hungry and split the appetizer sampler which was perfect in size and variety! Lovely

I've only been here twice. The recent time I was here, it was super crowded, so my friend & I decided to sit in the bar since we were really hungry. It was fun sitting at the bar, engaging in conversation with the bartender and enjoying the four-course meal for $15 that they're currently advertising. The food I had was delicious, but I couldn't finish it all. I don't know if it's because we were at the bar or what, but I found the service to be just fine considering how busy the dining area appeared to be. I wouldn't mind coming here again for another deal like the one mentioned, or maybe even for happy hour.

One thing I enjoy about eating out (besides good food) is being made to feel welcome. That use to be more of a key item to the restaurant business than it is now. Well Red Lobster hasn't forgotten and believe it or not - Renee (my wife) and I had a fantastic dinner Saturday night. We were worried when we saw the line but they started the night off by welcoming us - taking our name and just being friendly. We were told 20 minutes but 15 minutes later we were seated with apologies for the wait and fresh hot rolls at the table (they are so bad for me but taste so good). Our waiter introduced himself and greeted us as if we were the most important customer of the night (perhaps I am stretching but he was professional). We started with the Lobster-Artichoke and Seafood Dip and it was great. The wait was minimal but worth it. Nothing frustrates me (OK many things frustrate me) more than just sitting down - looking across into the eyes of your special girl - and starting to enjoy the appetizer WHEN they bring the main course. That did NOT happen and we got to relax and enjoy the great taste of the food. Perfect timing on the dinner - we just finished the appetizer - had another roll - when dinner arrived. We had asked to modify the shrimp and include King Crab legs instead of Snow Crab and again - a big smile and our wish was their command. To top off our meal, we had desert - chocolate cake - and it was a perfect end to a perfect meal. Those of you how know me - are saying is this really Bruce - yes it is and 5 stars to Red Lobster.

I really don't know why we go to this restaurant. The waiters suck, they don't know the difference between ketchup and cocktail sauce, and they constantly sit everyone in the same area, including large groups. Of course with the large groups come the mandatory ignoring of the rest of the customers. Food is mediocre at best. I think I am done with Red Lobster completely.

I see a lot of reviews here written by people who have never worked in a restaurant, or haven't had top notch seafood before. I know this is a national chain, but they do have live lobsters and they do offer a "fresh fish" menu so I'm going to judge them according to their claim to offer top-notch, fresh seafood. I'm a waiter, and for the most part the service was good. Friendly staff that refilled my water, offered additional drinks (my girlfriend and I were in the bar). However, I there was no "how is everything so far?" as I make an effort to do with every table I wait on when I have time, and they definitely had time. We were there during a slow period on a Sunday afternoon so I don't see how their time spent at other times could possibly have made that difficult to fit in. That's not a big deal to me. What was a big deal to me was that the food had clearly been sitting under the heat lamps for a long time (hint from a waiter: if your plates are really hot, it's not cause the food is super duper fresh, it's because it's been ready for a while and has been sitting under the heat lamps while waiting to be picked up by a server). That's not a game breaker to me. It's a bad sign, but the food still can be good. I had talked my girlfriend into getting the 1 and a quarter pound lobster steam while I got the "ultimate feast" (we like to share). Most disappointing lobster ever. Tough, chewy....everything a freshly steamed previously live lobster should not be. The shrimp and potato in my ultimate feast were decent but the snow crab legs were pretty lame. The shell was soft, which is a sure sign of mediocre crab. Her item was $28.50, mine was $27.50. With drinks our bill was $77. We could've had better fast-food and saved a bundle. Never had been to a red lobster before but I see no reason to eat there when I can get vastly better food at Anthony's for the same price or cheaper. We were both seriously angry and depressed after leaving the restaurant. Maybe their other fish items are better, maybe we were there at a bad time (though from my experiencing waiting in a popular local Chinese restaurant, when it's slow is the best time to get fresh food that hasn't been sitting around under heat lamps as a smart waiter can grab it the second it's ready), but at 2.5 star average I don't think my experience was atypical for this location. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

"The Horror. The horror." Marlon Brando as Col Kurtz in Apocalypse Now I'm not one of those "chain restaurants all suck people."(see my previous review on The Counter for example). But this is seriously the most godawful food I've eaten in years. Basically everything tastes like additives -MSG, corn syrup, guar gums and the evil intentions of corporate money grubbers. Their oysters have a copyright in the title and it turns out it's the name of the pasteurizing process they use, which the waiter tried to convince me was true of all oysters served in the US. I practically laughed in his face and he came back later to apologize and explain that it probably wasn't that common in restaurants after all. Evil, horrible, rotten, stomach busting, soul crushing experience.

The food was FANTASTIC.... However, I have mixed reviews on the staff.. We arrived on Saturday Night during RUSH Hour and were told it would be an hour wait. Ok, we were up to waiting as anywhere would be the same thing. Took about 50 minutes and we were seated. Cody was the gentleman that showed us to our seats and apologized for the long wait. I was even kind enough to let him know it was not a big issue as we were told in advance the wait and made the decision to stay. Watching him during the entire 50 minutes in the lobby, he was very professional at all times and was even very careful about pronouncing the names of those he had to call to their seats. I don't know the name of the person who was taking names at the front door for the wait list. However, as nice as she was to everyone when taking names, she needs to remember that all her actions are noticed by those who are sitting and waiting in the lobby. Basically, at one point she was very upset that another employee was let go when she was promised that she and one other person would be the first to get to go home. I understand why one would get upset over the issue but take it to the back room and don't let your patrons hear you. Also, in this economy, you would think that anyone would want to work as much as possible and make the money! Everything was going very smoothly but our table service was a little different. Carolyn G was are waitress of the evening and did a fantastic job being very polite and helpful. One of our party requested to have some items exchanged for things that were more appealing. We received our bread and water but after that, our waitress disappeared for about 20 minutes. We noticed that other tables that she previously were working had other helping them and no one was giving us any attention. I finally was able to get the attention of one of the hostess' who was walking back after sitting a new table. Asked if our waitress took a break or what happened as we hadn't seen here for a bit and there was no sign of our salads coming. She was very polite and said she would find our waitress. After waiting another 5 minutes or so, our waitress FINALLY showed back up. Most of this would not have been an issue. However, the comments that came from her mouth afterwords were just APPALLING. Basically, to cover up whatever reason she had left and forgot about us for SO LONG.... She basically said that she was called to the back and was there the entire time trying to explain what we wanted exchanged on our meal, well.. My Mother's Meal.. This would have all been fine with us but being a previous Restaurant Manager, I know that it doesn't take 25 minutes to do so. However, she didn't want to admit she went on a break or was busy doing something else also. Now here is where the APPALLING part comes to play... When she told us she was in the back trying to explain all the changes. She TOTALLY BAD MOUTHED THE HELP! I don't know if she realized what she was doing or if she did it on purpose. But making comments about your Kitchen Staff being all MEXICAN and not being able to speak a word of English. Well, I doubt she would have said it to us or in the way she said it if we were not Caucasian. The rest of the night, Carolyn G was working overtime on trying to make everything up to us. Also, had to comment on how she fixed everything. Made everything work out. Comped us on some items to make up for the charges that were caused by the changes. Basically saying how it wasn't suppose to be done but she knew how to do it since she has been there for UpTeen Years! I seriously felt like she was over pushing every little issue and pointing out every good thing in hopes to get a tip after leaving us alone for 25 minutes. I honestly LOVE Red Lobster and have gone back time after time. I have had good staff and bad staff. We can all deal with accidents, mistakes, mishaps and more. If you do something wrong, admit it. Don't blame others and don't start making racial comments about others. And Carolyn, for your information... It is Hispanic not Mexican. Oh, and if they can't speak English, how did you explain everything in the first place. You need to remember, working in a restaurant is a TEAM EFFORT. Don't knock down others to make yourself feel better. If you can't handle the job or admit your wrongs. Maybe it is time to retire. Yes.. I maybe be coming out harsh on my comments. Carolyn was a very nice women for everything that she did. I am sure she meant very well. However, I have many friends of all types, shapes and colors. I do not take it well when others are referred to in bad racial slurs, etc. Carolyn, it might not be time to retire.. BUT it is time to learn how to treat others with respect. Please take this into consideration.

We came here on July 4th and got the summer deal of a 4 course dinner for 15 bucks. It comes with soup, salad, entree, and dessert. Pretty good if you ask me for the price. The dishes were tasty. Service was great and we would come back.

I enjoyed my food and all being my first time what I didn't enjoy was, their staff wouldn't let me just order my food and my 2 year old eat off my plate! They told me they couldn't allow that and i had to order for my daughter. I find this to be BS, I am highly pist off!!!! Remember if the kid isn't happy the parents will not come back!!!

1 star taken away for so-so calamari and deep fried broccoli being touted as a 'crispy vegetable'. I know, living in a coastal area and coming to a chain seafood restaurant, I get it:) However, have been frequenting these my whole life as my parents are not really adventurous. I visited with my 13 yr old son, who decided he wanted to try lobster, something he hasn't had in 5 or so years, the last time I bought 2 live lobsters and prepped them at home. We had a gift certificate, so away we went. They were busy, the service was good, the food was A-OK. Was it phenomenal? No, I've lived in coastal towns most of my life, I know the places right on the water who get the local fare are better. But it was good. I love their Caesar salad, like their Cheddar Bay biscuits, and the food was as consistently good as I've come to expect from a chain such as this. As an aside, I tried calamari for the first time. It was actually the boy's choice, we shared the Ultimate Feast (lobster tail, crab legs, fried shrimp & shrimp scamp) and an appetizer combo (calamari w/crispy vegetables and mozzarella sticks). It was ok, the smaller ones were tender, the larger rubbery, as I have always heard However, all I could taste was fried batter and marinara sauce. My boy loves vegetables, so it was very amusing to see the look of *horror* on his face when we received our 'crispy' vegetables--breaded and deep fried broccoli. He just looked at me and said 'They FRIED the broccoli! That is SO WRONG!'. He tried it, and it was a failure. Sorry, have to agree with him.

Lobby was packed, however we could see many empty tables. Thought we would sit in the bar to avoid the screaming kids in the lobby. Sat there for 15 min. No wait staff in sight, no one even glanced our way. But the "thugs" sitting at the bar itself seemed to be having a good time. Looks like they're there all the time. We finally walked out, and went somewhere else. Won't ever go back

We took Mom and Dad here last night for no particular reason. Their "fresh fish" menu had four choices, three of which are all farmed species: Atlantic salmon, rainbow trout, and tilapia. I don't eat farmed fish if I can help it. We were seated quickly and the drinks were excellent. Our server was friendly if a bit preoccupied. She spilled mussel-butter sauce on the table and didn't come back to clean it up, ever. We had to ask for water and got two for four people. We asked for extra napkins and she brought those. The sun was setting, so the manager asked my boyfriend if he could lower the blinds he was sitting next to. The mussels were excellent. I also ordered the single pork chop. The mashed potatoes and the grilled veggies that came with it were very tasty. The pork chop itself was too fatty for my taste. My boyfriend got a pasta dish and said the pasta was underdone. The grilled chicken breast on the pasta was reconstituted chicken product that had been shaped to look like a chicken breast. It was the equivalent of a chicken McNugget. Dad had the Admiral's platter, which consists of fried everything. He enjoyed it, and that's what counts. Red Lobster is a medium-priced chain that seems to stay busy, but as someone who knows good seafood from bad, I was under-impressed. I'll take the smaller Mom n Pop restaurant that serves today's catch instead.

Doing this review while sitting waiting for a seat as we can see plenty of open tables, we have seen 3 parties leave and we are still being told it will be 15min before we can sit at a table. Not to mention 2 people at jabbering at the check it table and doing nothing to better the situation. As more people walk in they are also being told 15 to 20 min. Still plenty of open tables in plain view.

We took 9 guests to this "place". They wrote the book on "KITCHEN NIGHTMARES". The food was OLD Frozen, greasy, 6 adults either sent their meals back or waited to have their orders "corrected". STAY AWAY FROM THIS MESS, dysfunctional staff. YUK

Food wise, it's the Denny's of seafood restaurants. Price wise not so much. Not impressed and have had better. This place was good in it's heyday. Im still a fan of the garlic cheddar biscuits.

I went today to Red Lobster for the Limitless Shrimp special. I got a chance to try all 5 dishes, my favorites were the linguini alfredo and the sweet & spicy ones. Service was prompt. It was a nice experience, not an absolute best, so I'm going with 4 stars.

I just want to comment on their management. I was there a while back with my bf. We had a sweet dining experience. Food was great and our server was awesome. A while after leaving the restaurant I realized I left my phone. We went back and asked if they seen it, unfortunately no. The manager and I exchanged contact numbers and I really appreciated the fact they called me back that evening a few times to say they were still looking for it. After that day still no luck, and I ended up switching to my old phone. A month later, I get a phone call from the manager saying they found my phone! Usually I think they would forget about the customer who forgot their belonging a month later, but no. They didn't. 4 stars for amazing and super sweet staff. Minus one star for the month wait. LOL

Heck no. I've been to this particular Red Lobster three times now, and it was two too many. The first time, in March of 2011, I LOVED it! I got a huge margarita (which probably helped) and some really delicious shrimp bruschetta. Our server was really friendly (though not very knowledgeable...) Then, I went back in May of 2011 and it was completely different. The food was bland and cold by the time it arrived, and there was hardly anyone else in the place. Our server seemed like she was in a terrible mood, and when we got our check, we'd been charged for someone else's meal. Normally, that would be a quick fix, but the server tried to tell us that's what we'd eaten! The manager got involved, and thank goodness, the other table came and got their ticket from us. Now, this last time (about a week ago) was even worse, if possible. The food was truly awful. My shrimp scampi was cold and had a film over it, and my boyfriend's pasta was undercooked. You can get better seafood across the street. Or anywhere...

I come here a couple of times a year. I like the seafood esp the shrimp scampi ..and crab legs. We had an excellent waiter today named Will. He was fast , polite and friendly. My mom had the clam chowder and she said it was pretty tasty.. I have never been disappointed coming here. Also thank you Meagan for holding the doors open for a long time so I could help my elderly mother out comfortably

Red Lobster, you've got delicious biscuits. Thank you for letting me secretly pay ahead of time for my party since it was my sister's birthday and they wouldn't let the youngest girl pay. The service from Kylie and the hostess was great and they were really sweet and nice. My lobster bake had delicious seafood but the pasta fell short. It felt like they cooked the noodles and buttered it and buried it under the seafood for starch. It wasn't seasoned very well. The mussels and shrimp were really great and the lobster was alright. As for everyone else in my party, my boyfriend said his chicken pasta was too creamy and salty but managed a to eat quite a bit. My sister liked her ultimate feast, she didn't like the rice though. Her boyfriend got the fried shrimp and he enjoyed it. I feel like it's a hit AND miss in some areas. The complimentary dessert (brownie a la mode) had a good brownie to ice cream ratio but the brownie wasn't... A brownie. It was more like a cake that had chocolate lava throughout the whole thing. A soggy chocolate cake lol. I'll come back for biscuits and seafood, only if I'm in federal way!

Great service! Seafood everywhere and decent drinks. I had the crab fettuccini and it was pretty normal. It was pretty salty, and some of the crab pieces had a weird, tough texture. We also had this sampler, which came with shrimp cocktail, coconut shrimp with piña colada dip, and crab and lobster stuffed mushrooms. It was small for three people, and somewhat pricey. My parents has the ultimate feast which wasn't huge. It was also salty. Basically, the place is pretty pricey and is not the best quality for seafood. Typical chain, what do ya expect?

First off, I only eat seafood once and a while because it's very expensive. This red lobster was HORRIBLE. All of the guests there were seated in the same section. The hostess took us back to a dirty table. And then took us back to the lobby, cleaned it and then brought us back. Our server forgot our biscuits, switched out drinks and then forgot about us. My friend ordered salmon and got some other fish which was CLEARLY NOT Salmon. When she tried to talk to the server about it she told my friend that she was wrong and we could hear her talking about us to her coworker around the corner. UNPROFESSIONAL. She came to our table once to check on us and that was it. My food was warm if best. When we were leaving the hostess asked us "how was everything." I told her it wasn't the best but it was ok. To which she replies "that's great!" Don't waste your time here, bad service and Lukewarm overpriced food.

I don't know of what the bad ratings are about. Came here for lunch. Service was great and food was better than I remembered. Had a bad experience at other chains but the staff was great. One of their better locatiins. Crispy coconut shrimp as appetizer and soups were pretty good.

We have loved the all you can eat shrimp deal. This year we were very disappointed. They didn't put a lot of sauce on the scampi and it took so long in between plates on a Saturday afternoon. Our server was busy watching videos on a customers phone and taking selfies with others around the bar we didn't get the typical service that we used to love at red lobster. I don't think we will be coming back

I was surprised to hear that Red Lobster was still open. Sure, I see the commercials occasionally, but I figured there were just a few holdout restaurants located near large retirement communities (we were invited there by my 67-year-old MIL). Jeez, there was a 35 minute wait, but most of that was due to understaffing. Empty tables were plentiful, and probably a dozen parties came and left after hearing about the long wait (lost sales, RL). I can't figure out why people still eat here. Between all 6 of us, we ordered just about every type of seafood they sell (except lobster), and none of it was good. The "Admiral's Feast" is basically all of the frozen fried fish products served on a ceramic plate. They don't bread fresh fish by hand and fry them in the back. The fish and chips should be really good at a seafood place, but mine would have been more at home in a middle school cafeteria. Seriously people, if you want seafood, walk next door to Ivar's and get similar quality for less money on a paper plate. You're paying a high premium for "upscale rustic dockside" decor, table service, and white ceramic plates. There's a reason it's so dark in there and the prices are so tiny (8pt font). If you can't live without that experience, bring a cardboard box and a nice plate with you to Ivar's next time. Buy your food, put it on the plate, and ask the Ivar's counter person to bring it to you while you get underneath the box. Bam! 20 bucks saved.

There is about 4 groups waiting to be seated. After 15 minutes we were called back, the host tried to seat everyone in one section but we declined. After being seated, we wait 5 minutes for the server to come. She takes our drink order and takes very long to bring it out. My chowder was warm and tasted gross. All along the manager has two employees doing a taste test while it is so busy. This place is not cheap and they clearly need to get shit together if they want to keep customers. This is my second bad experience at this location. I would recommend trying the Lynwood location, they seem to know it better than this place.

Wait was not long. About 20-25 min on a Friday night. The hostess was telling everyone it would be about 20-25 but I was surprised when I asked how much longer she was able to give me the exact number of minutes. We got our menus and waited a bit too long for our server. By the time she came we placed our drink orders, appetizers and entrées in. Drinks were good. Appetizer okay. Bread okay. The food however was so disappointing! Super small portions. Super small seafood. Super salty. None of us liked what we got but we were starving so no, we didn't send it back. Our server was very nice and genuine though. Overall, ill never come back. Too expensive for very mediocre food. Its a chain so I don't know what I was expecting other than mediocre....

Went theFederal Way Red Lobster for a family dinner tonight. There were 5 of us & we were told it would be 30-35 minutes this was fine since it was a holiday. We saw several others being seated & finally went to ask how much longer. I was told we had been waiting 38 min and we should be seated soon. We were still waiting when my husband said to check the wait time at McGraths across the street. Found out there was no waiting so we got up to leave and that's when they came to seat us. We had waited 45 min for a table; we noticed several empty tables & wondered why we had to wait so long. We ordered 2 drinks from the the bar plus 3 ice teas. Our server delivered our water; we asked for our biscuits & she told us the biscuits would be delivered after the drinks. Our server took our order then returned a few minutes later to say they were out of the talapia-3 of us ordered this item. BTW this was at 6PM...how does an item get 86d that early in the evening? After choosing an alternate we were served our drinks. We waited for our salads ...& waited. By this time we had been seated for 40 minutes with nothing more than drinks & biscuits and not to mention our 45 min wait for a table. The tipping point was when a party of 5 that had been in the waiting area at the same time had finished their meal & were leaving! We decided to go across the street for dinner. We spoke with the mgr & he of course wanted to "make it right." We said nope not interested. We left hungry & with a $25 gift card to come back & try them again. Not interested... we would not recommend this restaurant & will definitely not be using the gift card. We offered to pay for our drinks but were told we didn't need to...guess that was the only good thing about it. P.S. had a delicious dinner @ McGraths and no waiting!!!!

One star for fantastic service. One star for those incredibly delicious cheddar biscuits. These bad boys make it impossible to resist, no matter how hardcore you've been about carbs. I took my Mom here for my birthday. We hit a 2$ movie that I let her pay for, then my treat was lunch. She loves Red Lobster so I suggested we come here. I also love me some shrimp and I'd seen a commercial regarding their all you can eat shrimp promo. My Madre went with their Main Lobster, a baked potato with the works and shrimp. I tried every single option on the all you can eat shrimp menu. As Tim C listed each option, I won't go there but I will say they were all very poor. It seems the shrimp is frozen. All the garlicy or scampi versions were way to heavy, drenched in butter and just gross. The sriracha shrimp was bland, aside from the fire it leaves in your mouth. The breaded option was also bland and the sauce they served with it didn't make any sense. The coconut shrimp was way too sweet and served with a sweet sauce as well so it was overwhelming. Mom loved her stuff but after a taste test, I can say I've had better at the Outback. That sounds ridiculous but it's true. On a happy note, my Mom found some sort of big box of Red Lobster cheddar biscuit mix and brought it over the other day so I may be developing an addiction here shortly. And an even happier result, as I have their best item in my own kitchen waiting to be baked I will not have to come back to this establishment. Our lunch was 75$. Now THAT is ridiculous.

I came with some friends back when they were doing the all-you-can-eat-shrimp deal. It was a good deal for $16, but was only there for a short time. I did get to try their various shrimp offerings, though: Sriracha Grilled Shrimp - This felt like a skewer of shrimp with some Sriracha sauce drizzled over top. Not very impressive. Parmesean Shrimp Scampi - This was probably my favorite of the 6 kinds of shrimp. I will admit, it was a bit heavy and buttery, but that's partly what made it good. There were panko-like flakes atop the shrimp, which added a much-appreciated crunch. Tasty! Hand-Breaded Shrimp - This was similar to large popcorn shrimp. Breaded and deep-fried - it's hard to go wrong with that. The shrimp was a generous size, too. Garlic Shrimp Scampi - Again, heavy and buttery, but definitely delicious. The garlic wasn't overpowering, but I still got a strong garlic taste out of it, which I enjoyed. Shrimp Linguini Alfredo - This dish was mostly pasta with a little bit of shrimp, and the shrimp was tiny! Wouldn't recommend. Coconut Shrimp Bites - I'm not a big fan of dried coconut flakes, and I felt like this was just breaded and deep-fried shrimp with coconut flakes. Much to my surprise, however, the service was excellent! I would think that since our whole table was doing all-you-can-eat-shrimp, the goal of the waitress would be to lag as much as possible so we get full from waiting so long. However, our waitress was extremely quick, accommodating, and always asked if we wanted more shrimp when our next plate of shrimp came out - she was great!

I love going to Red Lobster every now and again and this Red Lobster seems to be just like the others I've visited across the country. The wait can sometimes be long but that's maybe because I always go during peak hours. My only gripe with the wait is that they need to provide some more seating options in the waiting area. Other than that, the staff is friendly and courteous and the food is good.

We love Lobster Fest! Yes we do! Great food, reasonable price, terrible waiting (for a table) time. We go to Red Lobster a few times a year - my Mom and Grandmother especially love this place. There is something on the menu for everyone - even those that aren't seafood fans will find plenty of pasta and salad with chicken options to choose from. The waitstaff quick bringing out good, very attentive, friendly and very accommodating with food substitution requests if needed. Be prepared to wait though - Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights we've waited 40 minutes to an hour just to be seated on occasion. Worth the wait but just be prepared if you've got hungry family or kiddos with you.

The cheddar biscuits get a star for itself! Unlimited cheddar biscuits. The place was empty... Should have been a sign. FOOD: I had the 4 course lunch option for $18? Sounded pretty good. But ended pretty awful. Worst clam chowder ever. The meal wasn't spectacular. I had coconut shrimp and a bunch of shrimp on a stick with this mango sweet salsa. Both type of shrimps were overly sweet for me. I do love coconut shrimp but something was off with this one. The dessert was extremely sweet as well. Overall, I barely ate anything because I couldn't even take another bite. Sadly. Food lack so much flavor. Bland. Bland. Bland. They probably don't know what spices are because there is none here. Food was beyond disappointing. SERVICE: We had a sweet server. PRESENTATION: Large restaurant. Plenty of tables. Food presentation was okay. LOCATION: Federal Way... Not familiar with the area but it's in a populated area with a nice big parking lot. WOULD I COME BACK: No. ADVICE: I would suggest a different spot to eat. They say Federal Way have the best Korean BBQ so I would go for that.

Wow! We sat down in the bar and waited for 15 minutes and nothing! Asked the hostess if they have happy hour her reply "I don't know". Seating wait time 10 min but sat in the bar for 15 minutes and the restaurant had tons of empty tables with 2 customers eating. Food is average in this restaurant but we were hungry so thought we would give it another try .......big mistake! Needless to say, we didn't stay!

It's exactly what you expect, fake seafood. The only reason I came here is because a friend was craving it really bad. The food was okay, I mainly ordered shrimp. The guys loved the cheddar biscuits, but I decided to pass on them. The reason it's getting 2 stars is because the service was actually really great- our server was fast, super nice, and refilled water.

This place has horribly average food at very high prices. The clam chowder tastes canned and we'll probably was, it wasn't bad just very average. The fish and chips were very chewy and had no taste. Hell the best part of the meal was the cheese biscuits. For almost 70 bucks I probably won't be going back On a side note they did take a lobster out of the tank for my daughter to pet. The service was also really good.

My boyfriend and I went a little before closing time so it wasn't crowded. I was expecting the inside to look extremely fancy or something but it was casual looking. The place where we sat was weird because we were the only ones sitting in the middle if the restaurant while other people were in booths-- awk. The service wasn't too bad. The bread served was good- At first I thought, where's the butter? But it was not needed because the bread was moist. Of course, it would've made sense to get something lobster/crab as the entree but I'm not much of a lobster/crab person and I couldn't help myself from ordering the pastas! But my boyfriend ordered crab legs so we just shared our entrees, which were very large that we had to take most of it home. Something I probably didn't like the most about the food was the fried broccoli; LOVE broccoli, but not fried. Overall, the food was great and I wouldn't mind going a second time, although my boyfriend thought the food was a bit overpriced.

I haven't been here for many years since I not a fan of eating lobsters, but my gf is so why not come and give it another try. The place is mostly exactly the way I remembered it the last time I was there and it was very busy on a Saturday night. I had ordered the 4 course meal which came with a soup, salad, entree and dessert. The clam chowder was great with good mixture of clams and potatoes plus very flavorful. I also enjoyed my Caesar salad which was a good size and was done perfectly. My entree was scallop and shrimp linguini which I also liked with a great sauce base to it. The dessert was a caramel cheesecake which was a bit small in size and I could tell it wasn't made in house. I was very satisfied with my meal and was very stuffed in where I had to ask for a box for my dessert without even taking a bite. Service was great with our waitress and she checked up on us often and refilled our waters. It is a bit on the pricy side as it was $50 for the both of plus tip. Good to be back and give it a try after so many years and will wait a few more years before I come back again.

I was so disappointed I ordered the king crab special a 32$ meal, the crab so so over cooked my boyfriend order 35$ surf and turf steak and lobster his steak was all fat and lobster was over cooked really disappointing for this price I would expect it at least cooked right, sad to say I probably will not be going back to red lobster no quality in they're over priced cheap food. I was really excited because I expected it to be good! My drink at least was good and the service was decent as well but that's it

We came here with a group of five around 7p on a Wednesday. As we were walking in we noticed many many open tables. I mean, like whole sections. We were told the wait was 45 minutes long. Okay, whatever. So 45 minutes later we get a table in the back of the restaurant which was completely empty. I mean there were like 8 big booths and 5 tables open in this section and many more in other parts of the restaurant. So it's not like they were slammed, not even close. Mind you, while we were waiting, not many groups of people left the restaurant so it's not like they were busy prior to being sat. Okay, vent much? Moving on... We sat, ordered and received our drinks and bread fairly quickly. We got the calamari appetizer. This is weird, but the calamari came with like deep fried broccoli and I think that was the best thing I ate. It was like eating semi-healthy, I mean come on, it's broccoli, but oh so fatty and good. I could have JUST eaten those deep fried broccoli florets and been a happy camper. Anyway, the steak and shrimp were okay. Nothing to write home about. Shrimp lacked any flavor. Veggies (green beans and broccoli) were cooked nicely. Otherwise, it was just so-so. Restaurant seemed dated, but didn't expect much with regards to that, restrooms were clean. Waiting area, since they make you wait forevs, didn't have much seating. We stood the whole time. Bar was full. Our server was really cool. Attentive, but not overbearing. Have no desire to return.

September is all you can eat shrimp! Who can go wrong with that. They have brought back a favorite the coconut shrimp and added siracha seasoned shrimp that I would call fair. The Federal Way location is clean, bright and friendly. Service was fast. Parking lot was kinda tight.

This was my second time here and I am sad to say that the service did not improve since my last venture. I came here around 7:30pm, during dinner service, and it was not busy at all. Wait time was about 10 minutes which was okay to say the least. Now, here comes the fun part. We were greeted promptly by our waitress who was eager to go over the entire menu, special of the day, and special of the season. It was courteous of her to do that, but during the wait time of 10mins we were able to gather our food choices. And that was the last time we were properly tended by our waitress. After ordering--OH MY-- we waited like 10 mins for our appetizers then an additional 20+ for our entrees. I am not exactly sure what prompt that wait time but I am glad to say that the other booths were being serviced more promptly than our round table. (It could be that our waitress was lazy.. yeah.. I think that was it.. or maybe something else....??). After the entrees we were waiting for another 50+ mins for the main course. I ordered the portablelo chicken with wine sauce (or whatever its called)-- it tasted horrible! Each bite was literately drenched in wine. It wasn't a subtle, tangy, or had that majestic deliciousness of the tender chicken. It tasted like they soaked the chicken overnight- all I could taste was wine. Hah, that wasn't the best part though. We then waited for an additional hour for our bill-- I really felt that I should've got up and left. My waitress wouldn't notice. None of the employees would have stopped me from leaving. Damn I should've left... Next time I'll do that thing you guys know ;) Dine-and-dash. This place is just honestly begging for someone to do it. By the time our check arrived I realized that our desserts didn't arrive.. soooo 30+mins later our desserts arrived! You know, the tiny portions do not reflect the exceptional long service. Plus customers would think that tiny portions reflect shorter wait times OR tastes extraordinary. The best part of the service was watching tables that needed to be clean. Some of the dishes on the other tables sat there for an unbelievable 30+ mins. OH, and the manager jokingly asked some of the waiters/waitresses if they had free time/busy then happily took some to the back room. UMMM, I think they are busy, right? Shouldn't they tend to the customers, clean the dirty tables, or take away my dirty dish that sat through entire service? Or maybe the backroom is where they discuss how much they hated their job? Played pin the tail on the customer? Who knows. I am not sure if it is the lack of management or the corporate atmosphere that's shaping the employees to work like this. If I had these employees working for me then they would be fired instantly-- no ifs, ands, or buts-- they will be banished from my kingdom. TL;DR Painfully lousy service + poor management + mediocre food + fantastic location + okay parking = 2/5 stars.

Great restaurant, cheerful stuffs and delicious food! We were not very hungry so we only order 2 appetizers. The crispy green beans($4.99) is very delicious and had decent portion. The other appetizer we ordered is creamy crab sauce with break(~$10), has real crab meat and tastes good as well. And the free biscuits taste great! Our total bill is only $22 even after we left a $5 tips. Good food and good price. Will visit them again for sure.

The service here is awkward. Weird, awkward, whatever. It's odd. The hostess brought us to a table with chairs, which my friend didn't want. There were several booths opened, so we asked if we could be moved. She said it was no problem but the booth she had in mind still had to be cleaned off but that if we wanted to sit and wait for it to be cleaned, we could. Less than 30 seconds later, this angry ass server came and rudely told us we needed to get up right away because that table wasn't clean. OBVIOUSLY IT WASN'T CLEAN! Say something like, "Hey folk, this table isn't clean as you can see. Do you mind getting up so we can clear it off for you?" Nope. Straight up told us GET UP NOW! I've actually never experienced service like this, where I had someone snap on me. I was pretty caught off guard. My friend was more upset about it than I was, but again, it was bad. When we were finally able to sit down, a new server came. Song? I think that was his name. He was new and in training, so the other waiter that told us to get out of the booth was awkwardly standing by him and watching over his every move. Song has obviously come from another place where they know how to treat customers. His service was great! However, like I said, them literally hovering over him and shadowing his every move was annoying. Instead of explaining to me that a manager will have to come look at my ID in order for me to be able to get a drink, the trainer told Song this directly and then just stood at the table and waited. You could tell the trainee felt awkward and knew they could have walked away to make things less weird. For someone who is new, Song knew a lot more about how to handle customers and give a good experience. The other trainer was too 'by the books' and tried overly hard to follow every training rule possible, making it an awkward and annoying situation for us all. Food was cool. Very fulfilling and I enjoyed my selection. Obviously if you're looking for some wonderful 5* seafood, it isn't going to be at Red Lobster. But if you're like us and have a seafood craving and just want to eat a bunch of shrimp, then why not come here? :)

So I thought their special three course lunch sounded like a good deal so I headed over because I've never been before. I was so disappointed! There's unlimited cheddar biscuits, nothing special here. It sounds better than it tastes. Everything I had was mediocre, even the brownie sundae was a fail lol. It was dry and I couldn't finish it! I sat there trying to finish it because I LOVE desserts but I just couldn't do it! This is coming from a girl who looks at dessert FIRST when opening a menu. Yeah, I don't think I'll ever return.

We were excited for the recently advertised Trio special. Choose from 9 different entrees. To our disappointment this was not true. There are 3 categories and and you have to choose 1 dish from each category. We don't care for pasta. We chose a shrimp entree a chicken and salmon. The chicken and salmon were in the same category so essentially we had to make 2 choices we didn't really want. The advertisement says nothing about this stipulation. It just says your choice of nine entrees. I spoke with the manager and he held fast to their rule. We chose Red Lobster for this special. We were not going to go somewhere else at this point. We were Very, Very disappointed and did not enjoy a rare night out.

The service there sucked the place was dirty and not very busy at all yet we seen two different tables leave out an no one even bussed there table out until it was closing the hostess was playing on her cell our waiter never brought out our salad we ordered but placed it on our check we had to make a different beer selection 3 times because they was out of it we even asked for the biscuits 2-3 different times before that happen I couldn't even get any lemon for my water without asking 2-3 different times we went there for a B-day dinner and had a terrible time oh yeah they brought us out a plate that had the biggest hair on it but no one seemed to noticed except for the manager that still couldn't convince his staff to bring out a salad since we ended up complaining to him Stay Away I will never return

hmm, our service was prompt. staff were called seafood experts, which was sort of hokey, but whatevs. popcorn shrimp, that's what we had. mine was sort of blah. i was expecting something like bonefish serves and was disappointed. i think the roasted veggies i ordered tasted better. it wasn't expensive, so i guess that's where the 2 stars come in. pretty sure i'm not coming back.

Well the food was good but service was awful. I would rate food 3.5 star and service 1 star. Lots of delays and waiting for drink refills, promised condiments, no table service for plates finished (they just kept piling up as well as empty drinks never bussed). Too bad - other locations do have solid service in my experience. Next time will try another.

I love Red Lobster, the blackened catfish and biscuits have significant nostalgic value for me :) This time was memorable because of the server, Crystal. She went out of her way to be helpful. I heard her patiently talking with the next table that had 3 seniors and making recommendations so that they would not have to order/pay for a full meal when they wanted just a part of it. Well done!

I'm giving this an A-ok because the food was ok. The service was not. Haven't been to a red lobster in ages. Got a gift card and decided hey let's do this. We were a party of 4. Looking forward to this! We there and had a bit of wait, there were a lot of empty tables...well we waited for about 15 minutes. Off we go to our table. We get this waitress who was in such a rush, she talked fast, she acted like she had to be somewhere in a hurry. We ordered the calamari and veggie appetizer. The main dishes we ordered were: coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi, popcorn shrimp, salmon and Walt's fried shrimp. Our drinks were peach tea, water and lemonade. We were told right up front that the teas are not refillable. Well ok then. The appetizer was nice, not greasy, light and crispy. We each had salads, 3 of us Caesar and one regular with blue cheese. The Caesar was mayonnaisey and nothing like Caesar at all. Disappointing. Our server came to the table to let us know that they were sending her home and brought another waiter to take over. Then she came back and said ok I'm still here, and rushed off again. We got a basket of the biscuits that I love and there were only 3 and we never offered anymore. Out come out dishes, the coconut shrimp was good, as was the shrimp scampi and the salmon. Walt's fried shrimp however was bland. We waited a bit for our rice pilaf which was also very bland. We were finished up, we asked for a box or two and our plates were whisked away and packed quickly. We were given our tab and that was it. We have never felt so rushed before, it was a bit uncomfortable. The food was ok, nothing to say hey let's go back there really soon. I remember red lobster being better than this. I feel like it's done the franchising bit and it's become food that is just so so. Well anyways, that was that.

The food sucked. Though it was cooked correctly(my buddy's steak was med rare what he asked for) but the food was just bland. I got the endless shrimp and the only one I enjoyed was the siryachi grilled ones. The only reason I would go back is because our server deserved 5 stars. Andrew was very personable and friendly. Our food came out in a timely manner and he didn't rush us.

The Columbia Crest Chardonay was either watered down or a box substitute...very disappointing. The value meal for $17.99 was a good value but no flexibility at all. I just wanted the spice left off. It was squirted on last but it couldn't leave it off. The potatoes were grey puree and lacked appeal. The lovely delicate green beans were cooked soft. The service was good and the portions generous except for the brownie ice cream dessert. It was two bite size.

The last time I can remember coming to Red Lobster I was about five years old. Yesterday, I realized why I have not eaten at one in nearly 20 years. The food was TERRIBLE. I ordered the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake and for $27 I got a ton of buttered linguini noodles, a few pieces of shrimp, one scallop, some mussels, and a tiny ass lobster tail cut in half. MEHHHHH. The seafood tasted old and crappy and had to be dunked in butter to be palatable. The biscuits were gross and tasted of raw flour. My daughter could whip up some better baked goods in her easy bake oven. Lobster and "seafood mystery meat" stuffed mushrooms were lacking in any flavor other than grease and the coconut shrimp was soooo not the business. Sickeningly sweet with an even sweeter pina colada dipping sauce. Even Azteca has better coconut shrimp...and it's a Mexican restaurant!!! Not to mention it took thirty minutes after we were finished eating to get our check! The waitress was nice, but basically disappeared after we got our food and although we tried to get other staff members to assist us, these people acted like they couldn't see or hear us! I don't think I would willingly come back to Red Lobster for the rest of my life. Not unless someone else was paying and every other restaurant in town was closed. Just say no, kids!

I was at red lobster today and didn't get to eat there like I looked forward to because they had no one seating customers. However there were red lobster employees that walked past us but didn't bother to ask if I've been helped. I wonder how can a business establishment stay open when it's so poorly ran.

One word for you "DISGUSTING". Just ate here for the first and last time ever. The most disappointing restaurant meal that I've had in years.

This is my fine dining place (sad I know but I don't care). I love the berry mango daiquiri. They're a little skimpy on the liquor but it's still oh so good! I always get good service here. Biscuits anyone??

The cheese biscuits are beginning to not be enough for this place. Especially the price! Ordered the crab Alfredo and it was a salty mess. I've had better pasta from frozen entrees. They really need liven things up when it comes to their menu.

Meh.... it's better than the Tacoma one but the service here blows balls. Our waitress wasn't really friendly and she did 5 orders at once... which didn't make any sense to me. So the people that came in way after us even got their food before we did... Salad was pathetic... it had cabbage, and more cabbage... I think there were 2 lettuce leaves in it. It wasn't anything to write home about. I got the ultimate feast... bigger lobster tails and less crab... Good fries, but the shrimp were a little freezer burnt. I think all of the red lobsters in this area just plain suck. I like the ones from the mid-west 2345084 times better.

The family wanted to try something different tonight.. so we came here. It's been ages since I've eaten at a Red Lobster(12+ yrs or so) and the only thing I can honestly remember is the cheddar biscuits. We were greeted and seated right away and our server introduced herself(Crystal) and took our drink orders. Since it had been awhile we took a bit longer to pick out what we were getting. We decided to give their 2 for $29.99 meal special, which came with your choice of salad and either an appetizer or dessert to share with 2 entree meals. We got 2 garden salads and chose the Lobster Crab Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms and for our entree we got Chili Ginger Salmon w/ Pineapple Salsa and the Garlic Herb Shrimp & Chicken and we also ordered one of their 4 course meal feast($16.99) with that came a garden salad, creamy potato bacon soup, Wood Grilled Pork Chops and Triple Chocolate Brownie a la mode. As we got our drinks, we were given the obligatory cheddar biscuits and shortly thereafter we got our salads and Stuffed Mushrooms. While the stuffed mushrooms were tasty and decent they were drenched and sitting on so much butter, Paul Deen herself would have been hooting and hollering!! The cheddar biscuits from my memory seemed better than these since these seemed flaky(not in a good a way, either) like they needed to be cooked longer. Our server was friendly enough, but I think she kinda forgot about us. Our drinks needed to be refilled and we couldn't get a hold of her fast enough to get a refill until someone else came and took care of that. We had asked for fresher, more cooked biscuits.. and again that got overlooked. While most of our food was fine.. it was served hot and everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal.. I kinda felt indifferent to the whole experience and my meal. I think the pairing of the Garlic Herb Shrimp & Chicken would have been fine but adding the Cotija cheese was a very odd flavor profile with the balsamic glaze and the sun-dried tomatoes and the rosemary was way too overpowering! I believe the same was mentioned with the Chili Ginger Salmon because there was sun dried tomatoes mixed into that dish. Lesson learned.. I guess that's why it's been ages since I've eaten at a Red Lobster again because it really is for nostalgic stake. At one point I think some people have come in because they came with great company and have fond memories of that over the food they actually had and somewhat remember and the one common factor most people remember about Red Lobster is their cheddar biscuits, but that's about it!

The food was alright. But they had good deals. The server we had was really slow and didn't get everyone in our groups drinks, he forgot one. Food took way too long and the restaurant was that busy. Probably under staffed. I probably won't go back to this specific one.

I would so give this place a 3.5..But I can't seem to sway towards the 4 star rating here. My wife and I decided to stop in since its been a few years since neither of us had been here. The service was OK, waitress was friendly but a little on the slower side as we got to the end of our meal. The food was OK as well, to be honest the best part of our meals were the cheddar biscuits (freaking yummy!) and the dessert. Our entree wasn't anything special and thought it would be a little higher quality than what we got. We both took advantage of the 4 course meals and I had the coconut prawns and some Hawaiian-style (or Caribbean) shrimp skewers. Like I said OK, but nothing to write home about. With that said, I would definitely get a huge order of the cheddar biscuits to go cuz though, that's what really makes this place shine.

What a disappointment. We were hungry and actually chose this place over the one across the street. Then we find out it's lobster week.... month... year? I dunno, but the lobster had its own plastic menu. I had to use the loo and walking by the front entrance found there were people waiting, they were being told there was a 45 minute wait but they would be welcome to have a seat in the bar while they waited. (Okay, now I get it.) Lots of tables open (lots) but they were informed the waiters were fully booked...? So we both want clam chowder and are informed depending on what we order for a small additional charge we could replace our salad with a cup of chowder. (This turned out to be a few cents less than ordering a cup of chowder.) We quickly choose the lobster and tilapia dish with rice and broccoli. We figure it is a win-win since we adore broccoli... and rice. Cheese biscuits come to our table, very oily. Yuck. Then I ask the question... the tilapia is topped with a crab and seafood mix. What is the seafood that goes with the crab? Our waitress could not answer. After two attempts I was told it was a mix that comes into the restaurant already combined. (Again... YUCK) and I didn't taste any crab so left it on my plate. The chowder was not great. It seemed to be all milky or maybe powdery, it wasn't very rich which one would expect with a chowder. I think I had 2 and no more than 3 pieces of clam in the cup with a dozen or more chunks of potato. My mate had about the same. So what's their story? Our meals come and here's the thing... the lobster pieces on top of tilapia were overdone and rubbery (I'm thinking frozen?) while I'm pretty sure the tilapia was raw. I like my fish a little on the rare side but could you at least give it a grill mark or two? The very most disgusting thing was that our fish was covered with cheese. Cheese? On fish? Where am I? This isn't Diners Drive Ins and Dives. Fish and cheese....? Every delicate flavor of the fish was erased. And our beloved broccoli was overdone. Not quite dead but I hold great store in my vegetables and the quality of the vegetable speaks of the restaurant. Life is too short. We won't bother with this place again.

Food is usually pretty good here but McGrath across the street is way better and less expensive. The only deciding factor between the two is how bad we want cheddar biscuits. We went last night around 7, told it would be an hour wait. We didn't want to wait so as we were leaving we noticed an entire section of the restaurant and several tables throughout were empty. I understand there must be a reason but that looks really bad to customers who are waiting an hour to be seated. Kind of the nail in the coffin. McGrath has great sourdough bread and much better food anyway. That is where we Will be going from here on.

The food was decent, but nothing outstanding. I think they put more effort into advertising than cooking. The free biscuits were too salty. They looked absolutely delicious but looks can be deceiving. The rest of the food was also just decent. I'd give it a 6-7/10. The prices were reasonable considering the portions we received. The only thing that I can say that was outstanding was the service. Our server was just fantastic. He was very attentive and always brought refills before our glasses were even empty. Overall, it's a decent place to go for mediocre seafood. Don't expect outstanding food, but you will enjoy outstanding service.

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS! Ok, I know it's Red Lobster, and I truly went in expecting very, very (very) little, yet somehow they delivered EVEN LESS! All I really wanted was cheddar biscuits and Cesar salad. My husband and I went in on a Monday about 6:30 pm. We were seated and ordered chili shrimp app, Cesar salad and crab linguine. First off, I feel bad about talking smack on our waitress, she was polite, but she looked terrified of social interaction, and thus barely checked in on us. The biscuits were plentiful but cold and tasteless. App came, it was good, but there were only like 7 or 8 shrimp! (it' cost about $9.00) so 45 minutes later after all the tables seated after us had eaten, we finally got our salad and pasta. Pasta was gross, oily and grainy, like it was a frozen meal. the crab tasted like "Krab" she forgot our potato so I inquired about it and she brought it out, eventually. The potato she came back with was hard as a rock, dry and BURNT BLACK in many places. I pointed this out AND THE HAIR in it. She asked "so does that mean you want a new one?" At this point I was really mad to know I was paying for this experience so I got up to go to the bathroom. The lovely teenage employees at the front were laughing and throwing things and yelling in the lobby area, but were kind enough to apologize (while laughing) when they almost knocked me over while I was carrying my infant daughter. all this loveliness cost $50 plus tip STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Stuffed Mushrooms and Cheddar biscuits! I don't need anything else! We came in for the endless shrimp and walked out stuffed! Great staff. Food was hot and prepared when ordered. Always had a refill on my drink before I ran out. Overall, great experience!

Wow! What is with all the negative reviews for this place? I really don't get it. My husband and I have gone to Red Lobster for many years and have had nothing but excellent service and excellent food. Granted, sometimes if you go at peak time you will wait forever, so we always go at non-peak times and sometimes non-peak days. Today we went for lunch around 11:30. Our server was Crystal, she was excellent. We have had her before and she was great that time as well. My husband ordered the Ultimate Feast, I ordered the Seaside shrimp trio. The salads and soup was great. The appetizer and food was very fresh. My only minor complaint was we ordered the appetizer sampler and I didn't care for the chicken strips because they had that clumpy batter on them, and I don't care for that sort of batter I like the smoother stuff. But that's not their fault it's just a preference issue. Crystal continued checking on us throughout the whole meal, and was constantly filling my husband's water glass, he never had to ask her to do it. So I don't know why people complain about Red Lobster. Maybe they would rather have small portions of fresh seafood at Salty's for double the price. Don't believe the negative reviews!

    1. Half the restaurant was empty, but there was a 30min wait. 2. Food was tasteless and oily. We ordered the Crab Linguini Alfredo and The Lobster feast. (1 out of 5). OMG.. 3. Besides the horrible food, service was great. 4. Will be back again, NOT.

We decided to make a detour from our destination and stop at Red Lobster. It was easy to find and had plenty of parking so it was an easy choice. Service was prompt and our waiter was in a good mood. We didn't want to stuff ourselves with food since we still had another 3.5 drive ahead of us, so we shared The lobster bisque and The Admiral's Feast. The bisque was flavorful and had enough chunks of lobster within. I found the Admiral's Feast too fatty. Everything was fried and felt heavy. The dish comes with shrimp, sole, scallops and clams, which of course were all battered and deep fried. You have a choice of mashed or baked potatoes and you also get a side a salad or soup. There was no way we were skipping the salad with all this fried food. It ended up being the perfect amount of food for my husband and I. I guess it depends how hungry you are.

To be honest, I have been hesitant to go to any Red Lobster because the last few times I've been to a Red Lobster there was something that wasn't up to par. This time, the service and food was great. This was my first visit to THIS location. I usually like to go to a Red Lobster during February because that's when my birthday is and they ALWAYS have "Lobsterfest" in February/March. The staff definitely acted as a team in refilling drinks, bringing food, etc. Also, it seemed that for about a month straight before going here, I felt like I was constantly getting below-par service. It was refreshing to finally get at least average service, let alone stellar service. Wish I could remember our server's name. Nice guy. During lunch. I would definitely give him a shout out.

cheddar biscuits were the bomb! I had a seafood bake that had linguini, sauce, mussels, lobster, shrimp, and scallops, which was delicious! Husband had surf and turf, i didn't love the steak but the lobster was good.

The food was great but service was terrible!, My waitress was bragging about doing things behind her bosses back.. I mean I didn't have a problem paying a dollar to sample a wine... The only draw back was the salad that was just disgusting and awful! Other then that the food was great, The service just was awful and No one was there when we walked in, It took forever to get food.I honestly have had much better experience there then this time around, It was my birthday and instead of being a fantastic lunch it was Meh! I really hope they do something with the waitresses during lunch time cause I was super disappointed if it happens again I will speak to a manager cause that was just awful... Also i should add it wasn't busy at all, was basically dead.. so I have no idea why it took so long to get service...

Met my aunt here a few weeks back for a catch up lunch; I had just flown in, and we only had a bit to eat and chat before I had to be north of town to meet some other people. We were seated promptly and our menus and yummy biscuits were brought to us quickly. Our waiter was just wonderful. He was friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended drinks to go with our meals, and was just present enough- always prompt with refills, and there when we needed him, but not hovering, either. The food was great- hot and tasty, and perfect serving sizes. It was a wonderful place for a visit with my favorite aunt.

We came with a party of six at 6:00pm on Memorial Day for our daughter's birthday. Lots of open tables, told we'd be waiting 10-15 minutes. The two parties ahead of us were seated and we were next. A party of two arrived shortly after and were seated ahead of us. I asked to talk to the manager and told him that I expected we would be seated immediately as he had open tables that would accommodate our modest group. He said, "Let me explain..." and I cut him short by saying that I didn't want to hear his excuse and just wanted to be seated. He started in with "Our corporate policy says..." and I again stopped him by telling him that it didn't matter what his corporate policy was. He then told me that I was disrespecting him. I told him that I am the customer and that I pay his bills so he needed to step up and make it right. At that point he kicked us out of the the facility and we had a nice dinner at Black Angus. I would have understood it if he had said that they were shorthanded in which case they still could have seated us and the manager could have personally started the table with drinks and rolls until a server could pick up the table. Kicking paying customers out of your restaurant because you're offended is really poor customer service. I gave them two stars instead of just one because previous visits have been better than this including one visit a few years back where we had perhaps the best service that we've ever received in any restaurant. Good luck to Golden Gate in their attempt to rebuild a brand that has slowly suffered under its previous owners. There's still a place in this world for Red Lobster if only it were managed for the benefit of the customers and not for the feelings of the management.

I signed up for yelp in order to write this review. My expectations were low because of my bias against chains that are more about marketing than food, and because of some awful reviews. The host is your first meaningful interaction with the restaurant and it is therefore important to put just that right person in this position. In this case the restaurant managed to do that. I was at this Red Lobster at the request of my twin boys who were celebrating their 7th birthday. They wanted to go to Red Lobster because their grandma went there for her own birthday, so they figured it must be pretty special. We even tried to talk them out of it but they insisted. Well obviously they were intrigued by the tank full of lobsters in the waiting area. And once the crowd died down a bit, the host offered to take one of the lobsters out and show it to the boys. He said they could touch it too which they thought was pretty cool. I don't have time to write a full review but I need to point out that we were served by the general manager of the restaurant because they were short staffed that day. About halfway through our meal our table was taken over by a server so the manager could go back to running the restaurant. The manager was an expert at providing an enjoyable dining experience. I could go on and on but she was just great. The server was great too. I'm not a good judge of lobster because I haven't had it since, I'm pretty sure, the last time I was in Boston which would have been 1991 I think. But this was not as good as it was then. It seemed a little bit cold, and tough by comparison. I also had snow crab legs, shrimp submerged in buter and breaded shrimp. These were all just as good as the stuff I'd had at cheaper places. Red Lobster is definitely not a value in my limited experience. One thing that really got my attention was the cocktail sauce - it really helped, has a lot of horseradish in it. The three stars are 5 for service and 2 for food, weighted more toward food because that is my priority.
